A mentally challenged girl of 15 years was found 2 months pregnant after she missed on her menstruation twice, consistently. She was raped by an unidentified man and because of her lack of comprehension skills and lack of speech clarity, it has not yet been found who the rapist was.
Her parents who came to Loni Kalbhor in search of odd jobs are currently working at different places as manual labourers and upon observing her missing on periods , her mother took her to a government hospital where she was declared 2 months pregnant.
Later the police station registered a case under IPC 376 (rape) and relevant Sections of Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act against unidentified persons and a whole new hunting has been launched to trace the suspects.
Police inspector BA Kondubhair and assistant police inspector Srikant Ingale are investigating the case.
Inspite of the difficulties and troubles caused to the family, we hope that the criminals are found to the earliest and are given the punishment they account for.
