As the home team was about to encounter an Australian attack on the day of 2nd T20 ODI the hopes were high that once again the men in blue will defeat the Aussies. However, team India was all out for only 118 runs and the target was easily chased by Australia.

However, what happened later that night has probably ruined the image of India and is a big blow to the notion that we consider guests as God.When the Australian Team was leaving the Barsapara Cricket Stadium a stone was hurled at the team bus which shattered the Bus’s glass window. Two people were held guilty for the damage.

Australian Cricketers had also shared the image of the broken window and needless to say it surely damaged our reputation as a host.

However, realizing the damage done by the person, people at Guwahati took the matter in their own hand and decided to do the repair. Around hundred youngsters stood outside the Radisson Blu Hotel and LGBI Airport while the Australian team departed for Hyderabad for the third and final T20I. In a touching gesture, they chanted Sorry and also showed a placard saying “WE ARE SORRY AUSTRALIA”.

It surely won the heart of the players and the gesture reflected the true spirit of Indians.

Kudos Guwahati! You guys made sure our reputation was not damaged fully.
