Sibling love is so something that never fails to amaze us. Today there is such a story from Jaipur, Rajasthan that would surely bring a smile to your face. It’s the story of Yash, a 13 YO boy who wishes to gift his sister a scooter for bhaidooj, a festival around Diwali wherein brother-sister love is celebrated.
The Honda showroom was about to close when both Yash and his elder sister entered and wished to buy a scooter. To utter surprise of the workers they offered the entire payment of RS. 62,000 in coins. Two bags full of coins! The showroom had witnessed a payment worth RS. 29,000 in coins earlier. But it was the heaviest amount of their experience.
Initially, the staff denied but later agreed after listening to their story.
“We saved the amount from our pocket money which we usually get in coins. Even when we get it in the form of currency notes, we exchanged it for coins,” Yash told TOI.
Finally, the generous manager Santosh kept the showroom open beyond desired hours and the entire crew took 2 hours to count the coins and the two siblings finally took home a scooter!
“We see a lot of customers who come with coins to pay a part of the total amount of the vehicles. But it was a special case where both of them paid the entire amount in coins,” said Honda dealer Santosh Kumar.
The GM said that this matter was so emotional that he asked the staff to count the coins and kept the showroom open for extra hours.
