A thrilling news arrives from a newly constructed school located in Chhaurahi, Begusarai district of Bihar. On Friday at around 10:30 am, four armed men barged into the school with intentions of kidnapping a minor girl and asked the principal for the same 11 YO girl who is a primary School student of the school. When the headmistress told them that the particular student was absent that day, they poked a pistol at her. A scared headmistress fainted as a run amok broke down in the school campus out of fear.

Luckily, a group of women working in nearby fields could sense the danger hovering over the school atmosphere and reached the spot. They first surrounded the armed men and then dragged them out. As students joined in, the mob kept assaulting the criminals till one of the four died on the spot and another one fled.

Police reached the plot and rescued the two left out criminals. All the three were immediately transported to Sadar hospital where all three were declared ‘brought dead’. Begusarai SP Aditya Kumar confirms the news with Hindustan Times. He adds that the search for the fourth criminal is on.

The deceased were identified as Mukesh Mahto, Shyam Singh alias Bauna Singh and his relative Hira Singh. As per media report, the SP informed that Mahto was the brother of a wanted criminal Nagmani Mahto and was involved in several cases of loot and murder and was recently released from the jail. Bauna was a known criminal who was involved in many criminal cases including murders.

Why do you think the men wanted to abduct the child? Well, our guess is as good as yours since we all live in the same society where heinous crimes are being committed against children every other day. Though we don’t support taking the law into hands, sometimes the situation leaves us with no other way of defending ourselves. Lives of hundreds of children at risk were saved but such mob acts of violence and impulsive actions can in no way act as cornerstones in the building of a crime-free society.

Decision making and penalizing must always be left to the police and the judiciary. Few officials have shared their opinion saying ‘Justice has been served to the wrongdoers rightly’ but the public’s job is to bring crimes to the notice of administration and nevertheless, make Justice.
