Marking the epitome of humanity, generosity, and kindness, this man is no wonder a reason for the restoration of humanity in society. December 21, just like all the other days, Sarla Namboodiri, who runs a school in Chembur (Mumbai) took an auto from her school till the place her car was parked, surprisingly it was a different day as she took along 80,000 cash which was not merely any cash but the school-fees she received from students, identification documents including PAN Card, Aadhar Card, her own house keys and locker keys ( in short, all the things one could have easily swept away, had it been about the wrong intention).

She left the auto and later she forgot the bag in the auto itself. She got panicked and drove back to the school to ask peon to search for the auto. He tried confirming around and surprisingly after reaching a paan-vendor, he got to know that the name of the auto driver was Amit Gupta.

Without any information in hand, she felt to approach the police to lodge a complaint. Luck was on her side that half-an-hour later the incident, the auto-drive himself came to drop the bag with all the belongings. He told that the other passenger had spotted it and the auto-driver recalled that it belonged to Namboodiri.

After he left, she realized that she didn’t give him anything for his gesture and after asking the vendor for his contact details, she received all wrong.

Her hunt didn’t stop until this week when finally she caught hold of him and called him to school. She mentions “I found out that he wasn’t doing well financially. I learnt that he had two kids but couldn’t afford to send them to school. Being a former teacher and with my experience in the education sector, I decided to provide his children free education.”

Along with it, he was felicitated with a cash reward of 10,000 for his honesty.
Sometimes, knowing what a loss can do to a life can be worse than anything but incidents like these make us believe that the end of humanity in mankind has not approached us yet and there is a lot we can do to make better changes for ourselves and others.
