IFP’s flagship event of scripting, shooting, editing and submitting a film in a mere 50 hours had a room full of creative, original and interesting movies that you would love to binge-watch.

Last year, over 32,000 filmmakers from 28 countries participated in Asia’s Largest Content Festival and made more than 1,500 short films in 50 hours. This year turned out to be way better than one can ever imagine.

The competition was divided into three categories: professional, amateur and mobile filmmaking. The jury for the event included Abhishek Chaubey, Anjali Menon, Pan Nalin, and Pradeep Sarkar.

Here are some winning movies that should definitely hit your bucket list.

  1. Paul | Platinum Film of the Year | Professional Category

The movie depicts the story of a man who unconventionally overcame his obstacle of stuttering to become a pioneer of nootropics.

2) Gaura | Gold Film of the Year | Professional Category 

A story that talks about how a girl found her inspiration to take action against cutting down forests on large scale from an event called the Chipko movement.

3) Perfect Gods | Silver Film of the Year | Professional Category

This film shows the plight of sculptors from Mahabalipuram who command respect for their passion. Expect a dramatic twist that sheds light on their passion.

4) Inside | Bronze Film of the Year | Professional Category

Inside is the story of a sweeper who deals with an imaginary personality that leads him to drive for his passion as to who the imaginary guy was and how he managed to help the sweeper.

5) Tales of Passion | #5 Film of the Year | Professional Category

The movie talks about a day in the life of a passionate environmentalist.

6) Mere Papa Google Par | My Signature Award | Professional Category

A father realizes he needs to follow his passion when his daughter asks him a question that stirs all emotions.

All these movies have been entries to the Professional Film-making category in The India Film Project this year. The IFP community consists of over 5.5 Lakhs content creators including filmmakers, writers, storytellers, designers, musicians, editors, photographers, cinematographers, vloggers and many more.
