India has taken a significant step against so called corruption by scrapping 500 and 1000 rupees notes today. This might be the boldest move that will be remembered over upcoming decades.
Today Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that the existing legal notes of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 will cease to be valid from midnight of November 8, 2016.
