Mohammad Rafeeq Yatoo, a soldier of Indian Army working for Jammu and Kashmir light infantry (JAKLI) was shot dead near his house at Warpora Sopore, North Baramulla. He was on leave and suffered critical injuries having been fired from point zero range.
He was rushed to hospital but however, succumbed to his injuries. This happened right after a soldier was kidnapped from his residence at Budgam on 8 March who was also on leave till March end. He too was recruited with JAKLI. The area is under surveillance by the Army and CRPF who’re on a hunt for the miscreants.
Here, we recall that Baramulla was declared as the first terrorist free district of Kashmir back in January and also the brutal abduction and killing of other Jawans like Ummer Fayaz and Aurangzeb back in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
Whether elections going on inside the Nation or IPL, our soldiers are dying- on duty or off duty, at the border or at home.
