Mumbai: A visually challenged 15-year-old girl caught hold of the man who touched her inappropriately while travelling in a local and brought him to his knees in front of the crowd.

The girl, however, was travelling with her father and told him about the incident, who further slapped the accused, Vishal Singh.
The duo boarded the 8:15 pm fast train from Dadar to Kalyan and the accused behind them who stood directly behind the girl and afterwards started touching her inappropriately.

The girl had learnt martial arts in her school as per of her education and used it to twist the molester’s hand which made him cry in pain in front of the crowd and handed him over to police at the Matunga station, where the train stopped next.

The GRP has booked him under the stringent Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

As per reports, Singh was taken into custody and hauled to the Dadar GRP outpost. “On quizzing Singh, we found that he was travelling ticketless. Besides, he had boarded the handicapped coach illegally when he was able-bodied,” said senior inspector Prasad Pandhre, Dadar GRP.

The accused Vishal Singh works as a computer maintenance worker and lives in Mulund, the police, however, is running an investigation to find out any criminal records related to him.

This is the courage every woman should show up against anybody who tries to do anything inappropriately. Report it to the concerned authorities and take action regarding the same. This incident also shows how important it is for every school and educational institution to add self-defence classes to their schedules.
