While the whole country was preparing to celebrate new year fireworks, jawans at the border were busy handling the Jaish-E-Mohammad terrorists. Five Indian army jawans were martyred and three terrorists were flushed in a firefight after heavily armed Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists stormed a security camp at Lethpora in Awantipora in Pulwama district at around 2 am Sunday, reports TOI.


Jawans who were martyred were recognised as Inspector Kuldip Roy from Hamirpur (Himachal Pradesh), Head Constable Taufail Ahmed of Rajouri (J&K), constables Sharief-ud-din Ganaie of Chadoora in Budgam (J&K), Rajendra Nain of Churu (Rajasthan) and P K Panda of Sundargarh (Odisha).

On Monday son of late CRPF jawan Tufail Ahmed from Jammu & Kashmir said to the media agencies that the world has not seen a worse country than Pakistan. He also appealed the government to take measures to stop the menace of terrorism emanating from Pak.

Militancy has not ended; our jawans are continuing to sacrifice their lives; please do something. The world has not seen a country worse than Pakistan,” Anees said to news agency ANI at Dodasan village in Rajouri district.

Earlier the Pak based terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists entered the camp around 2 am on Sunday hurling grenades and firing before breaching the perimeter fence of the training centre of the 185 Battalion of the CRPF in Pulwama.

Our jawans are losing their lives on a regular basis in these cowardly attacks by the Pak based terror outfits, the need of the hour is to take strict action against the nation which is hatching these terrorists. We extend our heartfelt condolences and tributes to the family of martyrs who have sacrificed their lives in order to keep us safe.There couldn’t be a worse start than this to the new year.
