After 10 long years, actress Tanushree Dutta accuses Nana Patekar of sexual assault on the sets of ‘Horn ‘OK’ Pleassss’.

In an interview with Zoom, actress Tanushree Dutta has exposed the dark side of the Bollywood industry. In the controversial interview that has taken film world and paparazzi by storms, she has fearlessly shared her experience of being inappropriately touched by the actor of Calibre, Nana Patekar.

During the shoot of a dance sequence in the film ‘Horn ‘OK’ Pleassss’, Nana Patekar, her then Co-star had allegedly held her by her arms, she speaks. She had reported the undesired behavior of the actor to producer Sami Siddiqui and director, Rakesh Sarang but none of them took any action. Just because she was young and new to the profession back then, Nana had demanded an erotic scene of his to be shot with her that was not initially in the script.

She further speaks that Nana has a track of misbehaving with his female Co-actors. That he beats and assaults them is known to all but because of his PR nobody raises voice against him and everything is washed away in stream of gossips.

A bold Tanushree says how leading ladies in films are roped in by the lead Hero and not casting director on the basis of sexual favors she can afford to do. She further calls acts of nobilities done by actors as a veil to hide their demon side. She says that actors like Rajnikant and Khiladi Kumar to be sensitive enough not to work with him. She reveals that she and her family were intimated by goons sent by Nana.

Shockingly enough, choreographer of the movie in context, Ganesh Acharya denies her allegations of intimate scenes in dance sequel and also doesn’t approve of Nana calling some political biggie from his contact list.

An eyewitness Janice Sequeira has come forward in support of the actress now. She says that she had been to the sets as a reporter on behalf of Aaj Tak to collect some behind the scenes stories and had encountered a visibly upset Tanushree, tensed choreographer and director in a heated up talk and halted shooting. She says that Tanushree began shooting but again walked out as Nana entered the sets. She locked herself up in her vanity strictly refusing to come out and goons were called by producers to banged fists against her vanity. When her parents arrived to pick her up, their car was attacked too and windshields were broken.

Tanushree had called Janice to her place and had narrated how choreographer Ganesh had changed dance steps on the day of shoot only to let Nana touch her in inappropriate ways. She had gotten in touch with Nana on the sets only to hear ‘meri beti jaisi hai’ from him.

Janice says that after 10 long years, Tanushree’s words haven’t changed and she claims the actress to be righteous. Only after #MeToo began to trend that ladies are sharing their horror stories without any fear. Else, had her voice been registered back then, Tanushree’s story could be the initial of exposing casting couch.

A woman backing another woman is something we really appreciate of Janice.
Now that we don’t know the whole truth, it’ll be wrong to call someone guilty. We shall patiently wait for Nana to say his part. This is anyways a sensitive issue and needs to be cleared of all airs of suspicion around it.
